Financing partners are leading banks from Germany with whom we have already implemented over 60 projects in Germany. Further long-term partnerships for financing, construction and operation of the facility are planned.

The areas were chosen so that the facility would be integrated into the landscape as well as possible. The soils are disadvantaged areas where intensive farming is only possible through special EU funding.

The investment amounts to around 120 million euros.

There is no funding from the state or federal government. There is no funding through the Renewable Energy Act (EEG).

Income is generated by selling electricity to an energy trading company or an industrial company (long-term electricity supply contracts). Part of the electricity is offered to the citizens of Halenbeck-Rohlsdorf on the electricity exchange and as part of a low-cost electricity tariff.

In the entire plan area, the solar system, storage, etc. take up approx. 90 hectares (area converted to the ground under the semi-transparent solar modules). The remaining area of ​​at least 110 hectares is available for rest areas, areas to protect biodiversity, beekeeping, cycling and hiking trails, forest, accompanying research, etc.

Monocrystalline silicon solar modules (not cadmium tellurite solar modules) in the version as semi-transparent bifacial modules.

Batteries for night-time electricity, the citizen electricity tariff and system services such as reactive power, frequency maintenance and active black start capability are planned. Further storage and the production of hydrogen (possibly at the location where the electricity is fed in in Falkenhagen) are planned for later expansion stages or in accompanying research and development projects with agriculture.
